Butterfly tutorial For this design I will be using acrylic craft paint in white, gold, blue and yellow. I am using a liner brush size 10/0. (1) With white paint (or black if you painting a black butterfly) paint the center of the butterfly and the top part of the wings. (2) Now paint the outline of the wings and antennas. Butterflies come in lots of shapes so you can use your imagination here. If the wings do not come out perfect tell your client "it's art" ain't gotta be perfect...lol (3) Now fill the center of the wings with any color you like..I am using blue. (4) Add some gold highlights. I like to always add silver or gold paint to the butterflies so they kinda shimmer..sorry about fuzzy picture! (5) I have added yellow dots on the wings..again you can use your imagination here. Go crazy! Top coat and you are done! Here are a few other butterfly ideas
