Orchid flower tutorial

For this design I will be using acrylic craft paint in an dark purple, light purple and white. I am using a liner brush size 10/0.

Paint 3 petals in the darker purple.

Using the lighter purple paint two fuller petals over the others.

Paint the center bell shaped petal in lighter purple

Fill in the bell with the darker purple and add little veins and accents as well.

With white paint add some little accents to give the flower some depth...top coat and done

[image]2 orchids To finish off this design you could add some green foliage behind the flower or paint another flower. Orchids come in an endless variety of colors and shapes so any two contrasting colors would look great.
