I have pink and white acrylics with palm trees and then blue polished toenails with matching nail art.
I am wearing dark blue glitter acrylic on the tips and a clear glitter on the nail beds.
I painted plumerias on all my nails then used a gel top coat to seal the art.
I was not sure what to do on my nails so I went a little nuts...
I just love my square nails. So glad to be back to them!
I painted red and purple antheriums with some foliage in the background. My nails are growing out a little. I made them a little rounder, the next fill I will square them a little more. I really like the oval shape but realized that I like nail art better on square nails. More room to work I guess!
Here is another update for ya. I removed the glitter acrylic I had on and did pink and whites (permanent french manicure). I decided to do something different for me..oval nails. I used only my natural nail that had grown out since my last set of sculpted glitter acrylic..see plumeria pic below... Then I decided to go buggy..little butterflies all over my nails. I have also been working really hard on getting clearer pictures (thank you Anna from Toronto!)
I love plumerias. They are a very fragrant flower and come in a variety of colors. Very often you will see leis made of plumeria in Hawaii. I have on glimmer acrylic. I did this over forms so part of the nail is transparent.
Here are a couple designs I have put on my toes in the last couple months. I took this pic of my toes at a beach here in Hawaii on December 20th. I know it is sickening isn't it? lol I have a french polish job with some white leaves.
I have painted plumerias on all my toes :o)
Pink and white acrylic and fall leaves!
OkeyDokey, I painted my toes a color from the Nicole's denim to diva collection, Per-suede-me. Then I painted white flowers on them. On my nails I did pink and white acrylics and then tried to mix some paint to match my toe polish and painted similar flowers on my nails.
Here is my not so weekly update! I used Creative's Mosiac collection colored acrylic and did these...pink and blues... get it? instead of pink and whites? okay okay so I am the only one who thinks I am funny...lol
I soaked off my pink and whites and put just pink acrylic on my nails. I decided to go without the french look for a little while. I then painted these cute blue flowers. I am not sure what kind they are supposed to be...pansies?. Then on my toes I did a blue french and painted some blue and white flowers. ![]() Here is a chevron design that I did using a striping brush for the white and filled gold paint in between. Then I painted gold glitter over the whole thing. Actually my pink and whites had grown out and had not been filled for 3 weeks so I did this to hide how far out my white free edge was until I had a chance to fill my nails. ![]() I have been through a little journey with my nails this month. First I decided to put on a gel overlay. They lasted pretty good for two weeks. Then when I did the fill I noticed little spots of pocket lifting. I can usually keep product on my nails pretty well so this really bothered me. I took the gel off and will be looking to try a new product while I am in Las Vegas at the Hair and Nail convention.
Meanwhile I decided to try out acrylic on my nails. I have never worn acrylic in the years that I have done nails so this was a new experience for me. I did pink and whites over my natural nails. I love them! My newest phrase is "natural nails are overrated!" I know!!! I have been lazy! I was busy doing other stuff. But here is an update... My toes are painted first with a deep navy blue then I put a couple coats of Nicole's Edgy Indigo..just love this color. On the big toe I painted black palm trees and then put white art over it all. I was actually practicing how I am gonna do my toes when I go to the nail show...they are going to match my dress..heehee. And I also took a quick pic of my nails right now. I used the same Edgy Indigo on the tips of my nails and then put silver glitter over the whole thing. And of course some little flowery things.
I did my nails today. First I painted the sections in white on the free edge of the nail. Then filled in with 3 different shades of blue and a hot pink paint. I like it! It is fun..I really like the designs just on the edge..looks cool. :o) ![]() My spring toes! I painted three different flowers and then painted three diff colors inside each flower..then added some little dots and stuff. Same idea as on my nails below, which you can make out better. ![]() I recieved my new spring polish colors from Creative Nail Designs and just had to try one of them. This one is called "Transparent Touch". It looks white in the bottle but when you put it on an irridescent pinkish-purple shows up. I then added some pink flowers. I used a really pale pink first and made 5 petals, then a slightly darker pink for the second smaller flower inside the first, then accented with white dots. The first day of spring was a couple days ago so I guess I will go with the spring look on my nails.
Okay it has been longer than one week since I updated. But that is because...I could not make up my mind what I wanted to do on my nails. This time I did not take a picture of the inbetween art...you wouldn't have liked it anyway. :o) So this is red flowers with black leaves and a little gold in the center of the flower. I feel like they are floating a little. It would have looked really good with gold tips and then the flower on top of that...ooo yeah that would look good. Too late! ![]() OOOO I like these ones! Finally I got it right. I used OPI alpine snow on my nails then a really dark blue paint and made a flower sort of..I think it is a hibiscus..not sure what I have decided to call this flower..thats ok, it's art.
I tried again but can't quite figure out what I am looking for. After the polish dried I realized this is'nt it either.... ![]() Well I did my nails and after spending an hour on them I finally figured out what I really wanted to do...but it was too late...the polish was dry. So for a few days I will have this....
This is what I am wearing this week. I painted these today. I used 3 colors of polish (silver, metallic light blue, metallic dark blue) and then silver glitter over the whole thing. Then I painted a vine sort of thing in white and topcoated it. A bit wild for me. Not sure how the dark blue is gonna hold up while removing everyone else's polish but I like it. Seem to be in a blue mood this month.

To do these nails I used silver polish on the tips like a french and then silver glitter over the whole nail. I then painted a light blue flower and after it dried I went back and painted a smaller white flower in the center of it. Then added some little dots here and there.
This is the start of my "blue month". For my toes I painted them sky blue and then used silver as a french and added white flowers randomly. My nails I used the same sky blue for the tips like a french and then pulled a really fine silver glitter over the whole thing. I like how I put flowers in random spots on my nails. Alot of time I try to make each nail look identical to the other but this time it seemed right to have flowers strewn across my nails. ![]() |
