[image] Implements and tools

In this tutorial I list and picture all the tools that I use when I do nails.

[image] applying primer

Primer is an important part of nail preparation and must be applied properly to be successful.

[image] proper mix ratio

Getting the right amount of liquid to powder ratio is important for successful nail application. This tutorial will demonstrate how to achieve the correct liquid to powder ratio.

[image] nail preparation

This tutorial will demonstrate how to prepare nails for a new set of acrylic nails. Proper preparation will prevent lifting and breakdown later on.

[image] prep nail for fill

Proper nail preparation is one of the most important steps in acrylic application. To prevent lifting and future problems pay close attention to preparing your clients nails for a fill-in.

[image] cutting away lifting

This lesson will show how to cut away small areas of lifting with an electric file. By removing lifting this way you can prevent damage to the natural nail and nearly eliminate fill lines.

[image] applying nail forms

Properly fitting nail forms is important to creating beautiful and long lasting nails.

[image] fill in cuticle area

This lesson demonstrates how to fill in just the cuticle area that has grown out.

[image] sculpting new smile lines

If you are not yet comfortable with carving a new smile line with an electric file you can sculpt a new smile line and still be able to replace the colored acrylic or glitter tips on your clients nails fairly quickly.

[image] e-filing new smile lines

E-filing smiling lines is an important step in Reverse Application. A method that I use to very quickly replace my client's colored acrylic and glitter tips every time they come in for a fill.

[image] sculpting on bitten nails

Bitten nails are always a challange. Usually sculpting on bitten nails is impossible. Tips are even hard to keep on. With Reverse Application it is easy to sculpt on bitten nails. This tutorial will take you through the steps I use to apply a full set on bitten nails.

[image] reverse application/full set

With Reverse Application you can quickly change your clients white or colored acrylic tips, move the smile line down and sculpt a new colored tip. You can create very crisp smile lines even when using dark colored acrylics or glitters.

If you do not feel comfortable sculpting nails over forms you can glue on plastic tips.

[image] super easy pink and whites

You can create the pink and white look without having to sculpt or carve the smile line.
